New Gas It N Go Racer Brian Zinserling Blasting through a corner

Well here we were again planning another trip to me and Franks first Hammer and Tongs race, We got in touch with Brian Zinserling who lives nearby. We get together, make our plans, load up and head out early Sunday morning. As we head up the Gorge and into Washington we leave behind the rain in the Valley and were met with the winds. And boy did it blow. From the start of Daylight to the end of the races, it blew.
Franks CZ gave up in practice, and he decided to become a spectator. My Maico ran good and Brian’s Yamaha was getting the job done. I ended up having the best close racing to date with Tom McAllister and Mark Baer. Tom got the start in the first moto and Mark and I did some good racing. I passed Mark when he went wide on a corner and was off to get Tom. As soon as I thought that Mark passed me back and then got by Tom and was see ya later. Tom made a bobble and I slid by for 2nd and that was how we ended.
Second Moto is, well interesting to say the least. As the gate dropped I bogged down and Tom and Mark were gone to almost the first corner. I say almost cause they never got there. Tom was first followed by Mark and some others, then all of a sudden they went the wrong way. There I was in 2nd place coming up to the first lap and oops, Restart. So, there we were to do it again. I got off the line good this time but could see Mark on the inside going strong. Then I got to the corner and where is Mark? I am telling you he did it again. This time getting back going the right direction but back a bit. What a race. I ended up First Mark 2nd and Tom 3rd. But as racers and friends we all won.
Brian had some good racing in his Moto and ended up with a 3rd and 2nd with 2nd overall. I got to witness his racing through the Camera Lens and he was on the gas. Brian is a new Gas-It-N-Go racer and neighbor. Welcome to this crazy thing we do!

Final thoughts is the racing was great the wind blew and we made it home. Another good weekend of racing and living life in the dirt.
Thanks Siege and all that put the Hammer & Tongs on and keeps it going.
